Pony Island Inn Policies

ADVANCE RESERVATIONS

All our rooms, kitchenettes, and suites rent nightly with a two (2) night minimum on weekends.

RATES

All rates are per room, per night, and are based on double occupancy + NC Sales tax & Occupancy tax. 

OCCUPANCY

Standard rooms with two 2 beds are limited to five (5) guests. Standard rooms with 1 bed are limited to two (2) guests.  Suites (1 Queen bed w/Sleeper sofa) are limited to four (4) guests.  Kitchenettes (2 beds) are limited to five (5) guests. Two bedroom suites (2 queen bedrooms/pullout sleeper) are limited to six (6) guests. (The number of guests includes infants and/or small children.)

CANCELLATION

Pony Island Inn requires 3 days’ notice before your scheduled arrival date to avoid a penalty. Cancellations made within a 2 day period of arrival, after payment is made, will incur a one-night charge, including applicable state, local, and occupancy taxes.

PAYMENT

Full payment is required two (2) days before the check-in date. Any additional charges will be billed at the time of request and no later than check-out. If the payment method is invalid, our team will attempt to contact the guest before canceling the reservation. See Cancellation policy.

PROPERTY

The property is divided into three (3) sections – cedars side, courtyard, and poolside.  The cedars side and courtyard rooms are all first floor.  The poolside is three (3) stories and accessible by stairs only (There is NO elevator). 

PETS POLICY

Dogs are welcome at Pony Island Inn and permitted in select rooms. Our pet fee is $25 per night per dog, with a maximum charge of $150 per stay.

For the comfort of all guests, we welcome friendly, well-behaved dogs and ask that pets remain leashed while outside and follow our property guidelines.

NO SMOKING

All of the accommodations are NON-SMOKING!  If any evidence of smoking in the accommodation is found, a $250 fee will be charged and possible removal from the property.  While we do allow smoking on the property, we do ask that you be courteous of others and keep away from open doors and windows. 

LATE ARRIVALS AND CHECKOUT

If you feel as though you may be arriving after our office closes, please call so we can provide the room number and door code.

Standard rooms, kitchenettes, and suites have a 3pm check-in and 11am checkout. Late checkouts may be charged for an additional night. 

POOL

The pool is open May 17 to October 1. Pool hours are 10am to 8pm. Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No diving or horseplay is allowed. No alcohol or glass containers are allowed in the pool area. Guests must abide by rules posted at pool.
